How old does my child need to be to play recreational soccer with Bellbrook Soccer Association?

Bellbrook Soccer Association has recreational programs for children ages 3 to 14 (pre-K – 8th grade).

 

How much is the registration fee for recreational soccer with Bellbrook Soccer Association?

Bellbrook Soccer Association recreational program registration fee is $95 per season.

How are the players divided into the divisions?

Divisions are primarily guided by grade as shown in this table, along with approximate age ranges for each division.

What is Future Stars Academy?

Future Stars Academy is a supplemental training program designed for recreational players (ages 6-9) that consists of developmental sessions and opportunities to participate in games.   The Academy program is specifically designed to help players become more comfortable with the ball and enjoy playing the game at a higher level.  Academy players will enjoy additional practice nights outside of their recreational practice schedule.  Players will also play games against neighboring cities.  The Academy is a co-ed program.

How do I volunteer to be a recreational soccer coach for my child’s team?

For the safety and well-being of all children, Ohio South Youth Soccer Association (OSYSA) mandates background checks on all coaches participating in the district. OSYSA also requires that all recreational coaches complete on-line training for abuse prevention and concussion awareness.  If you are interested in signing up to coach your child’s team please follow the instructions below.

Is there a refund policy?

Refunds will only be issued before the player’s first game.  If there are extenuating circumstances after the first game of the season, refund requests may be sent to rec@bellbrooksoccer.org and will be reviewed by the BSA board.  There will be a $10 processing charge for all refunds issued prior to the player's first scheduled practice.   There will be a $30 processing charge for all refunds issued after the player's first scheduled practice.

 

Do I need to purchase a uniform for my child?

Each player who registers for Bellbrook Rec Soccer will receive a jersey shirt prior to their first game.  For your child's safety please make sure they wear soccer cleats and shin guards to all practices and games.   

 

When will parents be informed of game and practice cancellations?

Bellbrook Soccer Association, along with the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Park District, makes every attempt to relay field status to parents by 4pm on weekdays and 7:30am on weekends.   

 

What size soccer ball should my child have for practices?

The sizes for each division are listed below.

Starters - Size 3 

Passer and Wings - Size 4 

Strikers - Size 5
